Vizu Answers Reveals Blog Readers' Picks for Top Celebrity News of 2006


San Francisco, CA (January 9, 2007) – Vizu Answers (http://answers.vizu.com), the Internet's first do-it-yourself market research service and network, polled readers of more than 20 celebrity gossip blogs to reveal their picks for the top celebrity news of 2006. Winners include Britney Spears as "most tragic celeb"; Brangelina as "hottest couple"; and Angelina Jolie as "hottest pregnant celeb".

Here are blog readers' top-voted celebrity newsmakers of 2006:

  • Most Tragic Celeb: Britney Spears combined babies, divorce and public nudity to earn herself over one quarter of the votes (26.4%), while trailing behind was the always tragic Anne Nicole Smith with 18.7%. Lindsay Lohan grabs third place with more than 10%. (Total respondents: 1,125)
  • Nastiest Breakup: Britney's back at it, this time for her breakup with K-Fed – they take first place with 29.3% of the vote, with a very close second place won by Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards (2.81%). Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt take third place (22.8%). (Total respondents 779).
  • Most Over-the-Top Wedding: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' Italian nuptials were virtually uncontested – with 60.5% of the vote. (Total respondents: 512).
  • Hottest Pregnant Celeb: Taking a break from international adoption, Angelina Jolie got the top vote with 27.6%, while Heidi Klum (18.1%) and Gwen Stefani (13.9%) were the next favorite hot mamas of the year. (Total respondents: 642).
  • Hottest Couple: Out of 563 responses, 41% of readers think that uber-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie deserve the title. Sadly, only 9.4% think TomKat deserve it.
  • Worst Mug Shot: Rip Torn crashed his way into the worst mug shot of the year while driving home through rural New York. He got 45.1% of the vote, while Nicole Richie got 22.2% and Daniel Baldwin got 27.2%. (Total respondents: 463).
  • Favorite Reality TV: 39.7% of readers prefer fashion reality television like "America's Next Top Model" and "Project Runway," over competitors "Survivor", "American Idol", "The Apprentice" and "The Bachelor". (Total respondents: 720).
